IMAC BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 
The International Movement for African Children (IMAC) is a charitable organisation that focuses on children’s sensitization program such as HIV/AIDS, children protection and children participation project in Africa.  
 
This organization is conscious of the need to support and advocate for children’s contribution in the development of today’s African Children to become future African leaders.  
IMAC was founded through the united Nation child rights convention during the celebration Program of African Children’s Day on the 16th of June, 2004 at Tanjeh Village, Kombo south, Western Division, the Gambia-West Africa.  
 
Infact the international Movement for African Children is incorporated as children focusing charitable organisation with registration number: 2113/2004 under the company Act of 1955 at the A.G. Chamber in the Republic of the Gambia.  
 
MISSION STATEMENT  
 
The operational Mission Statement of the International Movement for African Children is as follows:  
-support and advocate for children’s right as its enshrine in the United Nation child right convention.  
-Preparing the African child hood development  
-Encouraging children’s participation in the community development of African Continent  
-Furnishing the children with latest and adequate information on children right, malaria and HIV/AIDS including other health matters.  
 
VISION STATEMENT  
 
Our vision is to prepare the children to contribute meaningfully to the development affairs of a continent that is fit for the children the bellowed manners:  
-Serving as role model  
-Learning and practising leadership ability  
-partaking freely in the family and community discussion via freedom of expression  
-Propergating peer counselling on child protection, malaria including other health issues.  
-Training the children to enhance self-esteem and respect for others view  
-Sharing with and caring for one mother as future leaders.  
 
IMAC’S CORE VALUE  
 
I.M.A.C as children focusing charitable organization is guided by set of core value which all management team, staff, volunteers and associate partners are required to observed:  
 
-Putting the children first in any developement activities both home and Abroad  
-Because no child behind or out because. They all have equal opportunity to become future leaders.  
-Educate every child irrespective f sex –gender equality on children education.  
-Care for every child without discrimination, listen to children‘s view and respect their view.  
-Fight poverty on behalf of the children.  
-Collaborating with children group during community development project.  
-Stop people from exploiting the children including child trafficking and labour.  
-Prepare the children for leadership ability at home in the school and in the community as a whole.
